TRIBUTE FROM SAMUEL OTOO (UNCLE SOLO)

In Loving Memory of Oduraa: A Voice Stilled Too Soon

We come to honour today the memory of a truly remarkable soul, Oduraa. Your departure from this world is an immense loss, one that has left a void that can never be filled. Yet, as we remember your vibrant spirit, laughter, and unwavering dedication to all that you held dear, we are reminded that your legacy will forever remain etched in our hearts.

Oduraa, you were not just a friend but a dear sister in every sense of the word. From my very first encounter with you in Teen Chapel, I knew you were special, someone destined for great things. Your infectious energy and goofy nature would always bring a smile to my face as I am sure it did many others. With a voice blessed of God, your singing always left a lasting impression. I am reminded of how you composed and sung a song for me on my birthday many years ago and nearly moved me to tears. That was how kind and thoughtful of a person you were. You were genuinely concerned about people and never hesitated to be a blessing whenever you could. I will forever cherish those moments.

Dedication and discipline were the hallmark of your life, a shining example of what it means to strive for excellence. Your academic journey was a testament to your unyielding determination. Rising above challenges, you transformed your GPA and soared to the heights of academic achievement, achieving the esteemed title of a first-class honours’ student. Your pursuit of knowledge did not end there; you pursued Your PhD with the same fervour, demonstrating your insatiable thirst for excellence.

Oduraa, you were an inspiration to us all. Family, friends, and admirers looked up to you not just for your achievements, but for your character. You were a devout soul, a young woman whose faith was palpable. Despite personal trials your faith did not fail. Your word was your bond, a promise that held steadfast no matter the circumstances. Your integrity was unshakeable, a trait that grounded your friendships and relationships in an era where reliability can be elusive. Your life embodied the idea that true success lies in service to others and devotion to God.

Though you’re gone, your lessons endure. Your life teaches us to pursue our dreams with unwavering determination, to share our talents selflessly, and to live each day with purpose and devotion.

I thoroughly enjoyed the little time I got to spend with you, and I find solace in the knowledge that your journey continues in the realm beyond. Your voice may be stilled here, but in a place beyond our sight, I can imagine you singing with the angels.

Rest peacefully, dear Oduraa. Your light will forever shine in our hearts.
